The timer in the mobile app gets an update.
You’ll be able to track time spent on tasks from your phone screen using the timer widget. This will make the logging process more convenient.
How the timer widget works
Regardless of where you start it from, the menu or task settings, the new widget will be active on a screen every time you set a timer for a task and lock your phone.
Note: the timer widget is displayed on all Android versions. For iPhone, it requires iOS 17 or later.
It will show you:
- The current time spent on the task.
- The task name you are logging time for.
- The pause, resume, and stop buttons.
When the timer runs or is paused, tapping on the widget will open the task settings.
When you press the stop button, tapping on the widget will also open the task settings. But in this case, it will be stopped and the time will be logged: you will see the corresponding message.
After that, if needed, you can:
- Edit the date of the time entry.
- Edit the logged time.
- Add, edit, and delete comments to the time entry.
